On Friday, when it was announced that the couple was filing for divorce, the Twitter community seemed divided on those folks who understood that it was over and those folks to love to fling mud during a time that was less than favorable. Bethenny Frankel noticed the division and shared a moment with fans on Saturday addressing both sides of the issue.
“To those of you who are being supportive: thank you. To those of you who are judging: I totally get it,” tweeted Bethenny Frankel from her official Twitter account on Saturday. It was the first time the fans heard from her directly after the divorce filing was announced.
While Bethenny Frankel’s personal life seems to be batted around the Twitter universe, the star can take comfort in knowing she isn't alone when it comes to judgmental fans. When Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes divorced it was the same circus with folks putting out plenty of negativity. The negative backlash happens nearly every time a celebrity couple breaks up.
Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy obviously need to do what is best for them. Roughly 50% of marriages in America end in divorce so this isn't the first American couple that has gotten a divorce nor will it be the last.
