Bethenny Frankel has been tweeting about various things with her fans, including everything from playground etiquette to reading “50 Shades of Grey” to get caught up with the craze. And she isn’t slowing down, and this week, the business mogul decided to create some discussion about the environment and paper cups. According to a new tweet released on Jan. 21, Bethenny Frankel suggested that people start making coffee at home to spare the environment from all the paper and plastic cups that some corporations create.
“It is really a crime how much paper & plastic coffee places use. Make it at home in a mug!” Bethenny Frankel tweeted yesterday. Of course, Bethenny isn’t completely innocent, as she herself has been spotted with a Starbucks coffee once in a while, but maybe she is just being more conscience of her choices these days. And in New York, one can imagine that thousands of cups end up in the garbage every day, which can’t be good for the environment.
Of course, places like Starbucks are trying to cut down on paper and plastic use, as they are selling tumblers in their standard sizes, where buyers can get coffee in there instead of a paper cup. In addition, they are selling beans and mixes so customers can make coffee at home. Are you surprised that Bethenny is now focusing on the environment? Or do you think she is sending the right message to her fans, given she herself is often spotted with a Starbucks paper cup in her hand?
