Bethenny Frankel is no stranger to criticism in the press, as her harsh personality has rubbed people the wrong way. She says what is on her mind and she isn’t afraid to let people know what she is doing or how she is feeling. This weekend, she posted a picture of herself, wearing her daughter’s clothes. Given her skinny figure, the clothes of the 4-year-old actually fit. According to a new Us Weekly report published on July 13, Bethenny Frankel is now reacting to people’s comments over her trying on her daughter’s clothes.

Bethenny went on Twitter to react to people’s comments over her trying on Bryn’s clothes. "BREAKING NEWS! World Scandal: Former reality star, failed talk show host & cocktail maven jokes by wearing her kids' pjs! #itcantbetrue." She added that she put on the clothes because her daughter wanted her to do it. "When ur 4 year old peanut says 'mommy please put my dress on' & giggles uncontrollably, u do what ur told,” she added. She added that she didn’t do it just to see if she could fit in the clothes, as some thought after seeing the picture.

It isn’t surprising that Bethenny would get criticism over the picture. The picture was supposed to be funny, but many people felt that the picture was sending the wrong message to her daughter. She should not be so skinny that a 4-year-old’s clothes would fit her. There were plenty of discussions on Bethenny’s Instagram account about how she is giving Bryn body image issues.

Of course, this kind of criticism is the last thing Bethenny needs. She has admitted that she herself has had body image issues. Bethenny is currently dealing with her divorce from Jason Hoppy and one can imagine that Jason does not want his daughter to have body image issues. They have settled their courtroom custody battle, and Bryn will be raised by both parents.

What did you think of the picture? Did you think it was sending the wrong message? Or do you think people were overacting?
