Bethenny Frankel set to appear in television show 'The Neighbors' (Video)

Former "Real Housewives of New York" star Bethenny Frankel will finally take on a scripted television role. According to The Hollywood Gossip on Jan. 17, Frankel signed to appear in an episode of ABC's "The Neighbors."

Frankel is no stranger to television, not only appearing on "Real Housewives of New York," but also starring in her own reality series, "Bethenny Getting Married?" and "Bethenny Ever After." The last two shows detailed her wedding and marriage to Jason Hoppy and the birth of their daughter Bryn.

Frankel took her reality television exposure and created her brand, which led to the creation of Skinnygirl Cocktails as well as numerous books.

While many people question the scripting of reality series such as the "Real Housewives" franchise, this role in "The Neighbors" will be her first actual scripted acting experience. "The Neighbors" stars Jami Gertz and showcases a family who moves to a gated community in New Jersey where they then learn all their neighbors are aliens from another planet.

Frankel's episode, titled "Mo Purses Mo Money Mo Problems," is set to air in either March or April. The episode films this week.

The plot sees Bethenny Frankel appear in a neighborhood of aliens? It sounds like a "Real Housewives of New York" reunion show.
