Bethenny Frankel is a super skinny women who has made a business on healthy eating, exercising and snacking. Even though the lifestyle has helped many people, it sounds like her concepts are being criticized. According to a new The Stir report published on Oct. 8, Bethenny Frankel’s Skinnygirl diet is now being criticized for promoting eating disorders.
Frankel has been sharing some tips from her bestselling book, “Naturally Thin,” and earlier this week, she shared one tip on her show; taste everything, eat nothing. And while the “taste everything” was understood by most people, the “eat nothing” part has people worried.
Of course, Frankel isn’t promoting starvation. She talks about eating in moderation and having bites here and there, not depriving people of food. However, it sounds like some people are assuming that she is promoting not eating at all. It is not a matter of chewing on food, tasting it and then spitting it back out.
The Skinnygirl may not be for everyone, but promoting a concept called “taste everything, eat nothing” without actually explaining it could be sending a bad message to people who want to lose weight. Of course, Frankel is super skinny so people may think that spitting food out may work. And since she keeps talking about “food noise,” it is possible that people are interpreted it all wrong. What do you think of the concept being criticized?
