It looks like things are taking a turn for “ugly” in the divorce proceedings between reality television star Bethenny Frankel and her husband Jason Hoppy. Both Frankel and Hoppy have filed petitions and responses seeking the same things from each other, according to a Jan. 24 TMZ report.
Hoppy filed his response to Frankel’s divorce petition and it appears the gloves are coming off. Hoppy’s requests mirror those of Frankel's petition. They include, but are not limited to, primary custody of the couple’s 2-year-old daughter, child support payments and medical and dental expenses.
Frankel also seeks that Hoppy maintain a life insurance policy for the benefit of her and the couple’s child. Hoppy is asking for the same. Both couples are also seeking “exclusive use and occupancy of the marital residence.”
Frankel and Hoppy were married for three years and have one daughter. While Frankel has discussed the split openly, including a recent appearance on Ellen, Hoppy has not made any public comments and was reportedly wearing his ring over the Christmas holidays while his soon-to-be ex wife was spending the holidays with pals in Aspen.
