It has been in the news for awhile, but former "Real Housewives of New York City" star Bethenny Frankel finally filed for divorce from her husband Jason Hoppy. Us Weekly reported on Jan. 5 that the reality star finally served the papers to her husband.
Frankel is a self-made celebrity, starring in the "Real Housewives" franchise and then getting her own spin-off shows, the first detailing her marriage to Hoppy and the second detailing how she made her relationship work while also running her business empire.
That business empire includes the Skinnygirl Cocktails as well as books, videos and more. Frankel has easily been the most successful entrepreneur to make her name from the "Real Housewives" reality TV series.
That also should come as a sad ending to her fans, who watched her love with Jason Hoppy develop, ending with their marriage and the arrival of their baby Bryn. However, sources say that Hoppy became jealous of his wife's success, while others say that Frankel put her business ventures ahead of her relationship with Hoppy.
Frankel filed for the divorce, but asked the press to remain respectful to their privacy as they work on the co-custody situation with their child. The marriage was Franke's second and lasted just under three years.
