What started off as a seemingly amicable split is now turning into a nasty divorce after both Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy fight for full custody of their daughter, reports claimed on Thursday.
Bethenny's divorce filing papers were surprisingly demanding, wanting full primary custody of their daughter Bryn as well as child support. She is also seeking paid medical expenses and a life insurance policy on Jason where she and the child are beneficiaries, Us Weekly reports.
So, Jason, 41, has come up with his own filing, TMZ claims, which demands exactly the same requests as Bethenny's, including exclusive use of the couple's $5 million residence apartment in New York City.
However, Bethenny, 42, won't lose any of the fortunes made through her Skinnygirl empire and bestselling books, for which she signed a prenup agreement with Jason.
This is definitely not going to be an easy split and the former couple is undoubtedly headed for a divorce court war. Initially, Bethenny's break-up statement claimed she felt "like a failure" for not being abe to make the marriage work and not living the fairytale she wanted.
Meanwhile, Jason did not release any statements of his own to the media, and things have quickly gone south for the ill-fated pair. Some media outlets have gone as far as saying that Jason was only a pawn in Bethenny's quest for fame, and divorce was inevitable.
