Before her divorce is even final, Skinnygirl mogul Bethenny Frankel is already working on a book about being a single mom, Radar Online reported Monday, Jan. 28. Frankel announced her separation from estranged husband Jason Hoppy just before Christmas, and both have just recently filed divorce petitions.
“Bethenny has been writing and documenting her feelings in the beginning stages of the divorce. The book will explore the struggles and compromises all single mom [sic] face. It will deal with the delicate balancing act that is being a single mom, the guilt she feels because her daughter Bryn will now come from a broken home, something she never wanted for her little girl,” a source claims.
On Jan. 10 accusations surfaced that Frankel was using the divorce as a publicity stunt to promote her upcoming talk show. Reportedly Bethenny had made the choice to have her talk show taped in New York so that she and Hoppy would be able to co-parent their almost three-year-old daughter. Frankel also said that the split was amicable, and that no one cheated.
Sources say Jason believes Bethenny “emotionally cheated” with a Skinnygirl colleague, and sources say Hoppy is fighting hard to have the couple’s supposedly ironclad prenup set aside so that he may secure a chunk of the millions Bethenny earned during their almost three year marriage.
Frankel and Hoppy are both seeking full custody of their daughter Bryn Hoppy, as well as primary ownership of the couple’s $5 million NYC apartment. Neither Jason nor Bethenny seems willing to back down, and what was once described as an amicable split may turn into an epic divorce battle.
