Bethel wins by 9 rippin’ lipless College Southern Regional Harris Lake (Photos)

Fatty, fat. The chubby bass were all over Harris Chain Lake, so much in fact Cody Spears (4th) caught the “Fatty McButterpants” of bass today at a fat 10-7 and added it to FSU’s arsenal. But in the great magnetic field, it didn’t get in the way or even slow down the two college bass anglers from Bethel, Zach Parker and Matthew Roberts. With heavy bags of bass Bethel smeared everybody off the plate with a nine pound lead and took the win at Paradise City. The ultimate fight of the lipless crankbaits and a clearer day on the lake.

Happy Birthday Matt Lee doing what he likes to do best today.

Bethel was on fire

Twenty-pound bagging ‘em. The guys fished the same spot both days, a flat ledge so a change in the weather only increased the action. Parker told Bassmaster, “The ditch running through the grass, that’s where the big ones are.” Take them home, first in the livewell and then to weigh-in.
