BET Network has teamed up with AEG and L.A. Live to create what will be the first-ever BET Experience at L.A. Live. The three day celebration of music and entertainment will take place June 28, 29 and 30, 2013 as part of the BET Awards weekend activities. It will be the largest consumer event in BET Networks’ history and will end with the 2013 BET Awards Show on June 30 at Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE.
After a successful Super Bowl halftime show, it has been announced that Queen Bey is set to take the stage yet again to headline the 2013 BET Experience with a performance at STAPLES Center on June 28 to kick off her North American tour. Other musical guests who are scheduled to perform include Snoop Dogg, R. Kelly, New Edition, The Jacksons, The Roots and Erykah Badu.
On Saturday, June 29, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, Miguel and Schoolboy Q will headline at STAPLES Center and Club Nokia will feature an exclusive session with The Roots. R. Kelly, New Edition and The Jacksons will close out the Staples Center Concert Series with this year’s BET Awards to follow.
Along with the concerts, the BET Experience will also feature: the Music Matters stage, featuring up-and-coming artists; the BET Grammy Museum exhibit; the Film Fest, showcasing a diverse array of new film releases; and the 106 & Park stage, which brings its energetic audience to the Nokia Theater for celebrity appearances and free live performances.
