Chaka Khan was one of six individuals who were acknowledged on Monday night during the 2013 BET Honors. To some Khan might be just another music diva, but the entertainer was honored by fans for her extraordinary contributions to the musical world. Sharing the delight of the evening with the fans the special moment was part of an amazing celebration.
Chaka Khan is considered the Queen of Funk-Soul. The artist has had an amazing and prosperous career with her music and it keeps right on being appreciated by the fans. Loving the opportunity to step on stage every time to perform, this time she stepped up to receive a very important honor.
BET Honors 2013 honorees covered all walks of life. With six African American leaders being acknowledged, the celebration had everyone appreciating the contributions of the individuals while reflecting on Black History Month. During the course of the broadcast, Clarence Avant, Halle Berry, Chaka Khan, T.D. Jakes and Lisa Leslie were honored.
