Alicia Keys definitely had the fans on the edge of their seats Monday night. One of the featured performers for the BET Honors 2013, the entertainer once again belted out an amazing vocal performance. A special moment for those being honored during the BET program, it was the fans that got the best deal from the show.
With the show focusing on the contributions of the individuals chosen for the show, Alicia Key’s segment was empowering and complimented the moment. Pushing her music to another level, the star had such emotion and depth in her song that hasn't been seen often on television.
BET Honors 2013 honorees covered all walks of life and gave another great reason to celebrate Black History Month. With six African American leaders being acknowledged, the celebration had everyone appreciating the contributions of the individuals. During the course of the broadcast, Clarence Avant, Halle Berry, Chaka Khan, T.D. Jakes and Lisa Leslie were honored.
