In case you missed it, it was hot at the 2010 BET Awards and not because of the weather in Los Angeles.  The fashion was on fire.  The ladies' dresses, the men's suits, and the ladies' shoes were worth an honorable mention today.

From the Pre-Show Red Carpet to The Swagga Continues after party show, the fashion was top of the line.  Not sure how the ladies stood in those shoes all night, but the motto for shoe game last night had to be, the higher the better and the hotter the color and style the more it complimented your dress or outfit.  Let's not get too overboard, there were some outlandish outfits at the show, but the shoes made a clear statement.

The hot pink platforms Alicia Keys performed in were amazing.  Not only did they stand out, but they made a statement and complimented her plum mini dress.  Ciara showed dominance on the red carpet with a pair of black high top booties.  LaLa Vasquez rocked a nude platform pump that complimented her nude dress.  Hostess, Queen Latifah, continued to show us her shoe fashion as the show went on and at the end of the evening she graced us with a long flowing white dress and peep-toe pumps to set it off.  Monica continued to show her love for Christian Louboutin with thigh high snake skin boots in the pre-show and thigh high black boots during the show.  Even Patti Labelle has a fierce shoe game going on.  As she slung off her shoes during her tribute to Prince, we noticed that she had on a pair of high heeled, black peep-toe Christian Louboutin shoes.  Wouldn't you love to get hit in the head with a pair of those?

Usually at award shows the outfits and shoes and go a bit overboard, but last evening's fashion was not too much.  If Goldie Locks was a shoe maven, she would say that last night's shoe fashion was just right.

What would you say about last night's shoe fashion?  Did you see a lot of do's or don'ts?  I saw a lot of do's starting with Eva Marcille, who had the best shoes of the night, Alicia Keys, Nia Long, and most of all Queen Latifah.  The male fashion was great with Usher and Tyrese.
