The Nevada Wolf Pack men's basketball notebook . . .
- The Wolf Pack has lost three games in a row, six of its last seven and 10 of its last 13. The last time the Pack lost 10-of-13 was the first 13 games of the 2010-11 season when they went 3-10.
- The Wolf Pack, at 3-9 in the Mountain West with four league games to play, has already been eliminated from the first four spots in the Mountain West standings, after New Mexico 10-2, Colorado State 8-4, UNLV 8-5 and San Diego State 8-5. The Pack needs a win at Boise State (6-6) on Wednesday night to still have a chance at fifth place.
- Just one Wolf Pack player -- Deonte Burton in the second week of the season -- has been named Mountain West Player of the Week. Burton's honor back in November is the Pack's lone Player of the Week award over the last 24 weeks, dating back to the last eight weeks of last season in the Western Athletic Conference.
- Malik Story leads the Mountain West along with Air force's Michael Lyons with three 30-point games this year. Story had 35 points against Yale on Dec. 28, 31 against Colorado State on Feb. 6 and 33 against San Diego State last Saturday.
- The Wolf Pack is last in the Mountain West in defense, allowing 70.7 points a game.
- The Pack is also last in 3-point shooting with a .305 success rate.
- The Wolf Pack RPI is currently at 157. Just one team in the Mountain West (Air Force at 159) is ranked lower than the Pack. The other seven teams in the league are at 75 or better. New Mexico has the best RPI in the Mountain West at No. 3. UNLV is No. 14 and Colorado State is at 15.
- With the 88-75 loss at San Diego State last Saturday, the Pack is assured of finishing under .500 in conference play for the first time since the 2000-01 team finished 3-13 in the WAC. That year, like this season in the Mountain West, was the Pack's first in the WAC.
- The Wolf Pack is 4-0 in games decided by three points or less this season. It is the best record in the Mountain West in games decided by three points or less, tied with UNLV, which is also 4-0.
- The Pack, though, is 5-10 in games decided by 10 points or more. No other team in the Mountain West has lost more than six games (Air Force) this year by 10 points or more.
- The Wolf Pack has now gone 265 consecutive games with at least one 3-pointer. The last game the Pack failed to make a 3-pointer was on March 3, 2005 at Hawaii. UNLV owns the longest current streak in the Mountain West with at least one 3-pointer at 868 games.
- The Wolf Pack is 7-4 after leading games at halftime. The Pack, though, has lost four of its last five games after it had a lead at the half. UNLV leads the Mountain West with a 19-0 record after leading at the half. New Mexico is 15-0.
- Wolf Pack point guard Deonte Burton has scored in double figures in 13 games in a row and in 22 of the Pack's 26 games this season. Story leads the Pack with nine games of 20 points or more.
- Burton and Kevin Panzer are the only current Wolf Pack players with a career double-double. Both have had one each. San Diego State's Jamaal Franklin leads the Mountain West with 14 double-doubles (10 this season).
- Story is second in the Mountain West with 67 3-pointers in 26 games. Boise state's Jeff Elorriaga leads the conference with 71 threes in 23 games.
- The Wolf Pack is last in the conference in 3-point field goal defense (.376).
