Article by Joe Sioufi - Now you are going to say here is Joe again promoting the art or the museums; not at all, but listen with all what I had seen, heard and lived in my life, I can tell you something, with their nearly 63,000 artworks displayed, the Museum of Fine Arts Houston deserves not just lots of credit but needs to be featured #1.
You can travel the entire globe in one day with art collections from Africa to Asia, Indonesia, Arabic countries to Europe, and Latin America.
Do not forget they have Native American art from the deserts and forests add to that the exquisite 5,000-pieces Bayou Bend collection.
You have to keep checking their website or pass by the museum to know about upcoming artists and art exhibits.
If I pass by there and I see Monet paintings I will be like a kid in candy shop.
Right now the MFAH is presenting:
The Masterworks of Charles M. Russell
Katsura: Photographs by Ishimoto Yasuhiro
CLOSES SUNDAY Light of the Sufis: The Mystical Arts of Islam
CLOSES SUNDAY Modern Painting from the MFAH Collection
