Great music and delicious western BBQ Ribs with all the fixings are the main attractions to this year's family friendly feast at JA Nugget's Rib Fest held in Victorian Square behind the Nugget in Sparks, Nevada, just off I-80 E.
About 500,000 visitors make their way to Victorian Square in Sparks each Labor Day Week to experience the biggest and most prestigious rib cook-off in the United States, the Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-off from September 1-6.
Bringing together 24 of the country's best cookers, hundreds of craft and vendor booths and free entertainment including nightly headline acts on the Main Concert Stage, the 22nd Annual Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-off is a great way to say goodbye to summer and treat your entire family to a wonderful evening.
All food booths will be open from 11:00am—9:00pm, Wednesday—Sunday and from 11:00am—5:00pm on Monday. Food and concessions will be available during event hours only.
The Rib Cook-Off is considered one of the best family friendly events on the West Coast. The Kids' Area is open every day.
VIP Rib Village
The Rib Village is a VIP area within the Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-off where you can get UNLIMITED ribs and drinks for up to 10 people. Tables are $900 each for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; and $850 each for Wednesday, Thursday, and Monday.
Watch the world's #1 eater, Joey Chestnut, defend his title. This is one event you do not want to miss. The Rib Eating Championship will take place on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 6pm on the Main Concert Stage.
