The big news from the Best Supporting Actor Race for the year's Oscars is that all 5 nominees are previous winners.
The nominees for Best Supporting Actor are:
Christoph Waltz for "Django Unchained"
Philip Seymour Hoffman for "The Master" (winner, Phoenix Film Critics Society)
Robert De Niro for "Silver Linings Playbook"
Alan Arkin for "Argo"
Tommy Lee Jones for "Lincoln"
The most recent winner on the list is Christoph Waltz, who won a Best Supporting Actor award for "Inglourious Basterds" in 2009. Alan Arkin and Tommy Lee Jones have both won Supporting Actor awards before, while Philip Seymour Hoffman and Robert De Niro both won in the lead acting category (De Niro also has won before for Best Supporting Actor).
