The best Super Bowl ads will be remembered and talked about for many years to come. This, of course, is the hope of all the many advertisers who each paid millions of dollars for their ads aired during the big game. The successful ones will be discussed on social media sites, talked about on the phone, and remembered at the water cooler at work for many days, weeks, and months ahead.
Hype for the brand and to be the flavor of the month (or more) is what companies strive for. Budweiser, Doritos, and Taco Bell each had memorable spots as poignant, funny, and clever are still the best ingredients for success. The red M&M, or just Red to his close friends, entertained us with a love ballad at the piano. He is singing to a girl (who may want more than just love) and is hoping to push votes his way http://youtu.be/2KiR7rMB5Jg at adBlitz on YouTube for the best Super Bowl ads. Red is a charming character with a boyish naivety who has captured the imagination of many with his musical talents and his love for parties (he is typically the first one to remove his shell at certain get togethers!). The formula M&M's is using is a home run (or touch down to keep it in perspective) and get this writer's vote for best ad and ad campaign.
Pepsi has a great game plan working and get runner up in this column. The food world is alive and well with creative and entertaining ad media like what we've just seen. We look forward to more to come throughout the year.
