As most female athletes know, a good sports bra is hard to find sometimes. You find yourself either feeling as if there’s a tight band around your lungs or it seems to feel too loose. Contrary to what many might think, Oklahoma City has several places to find the best sports bra brands. So, if a loved one bought you a gift card for Christmas or any other occasion, you can start your new year off with plenty of support and confidence at one of the sporting goods stores in the metro.
From personal experience, Academy Sports and Outdoors has great sales and plenty of sports bra options. The Champion Double Dry Vent Compression sports bra is extremely comfortable and because it doesn’t have any seams, there isn’t any irritating rubbing or itching. Also, Champion seems to be marked down at sporting goods stores more than any other brand. Academy seems to have more of a Champion variety than some of the other metro sporting goods stores.
Academy also has a big Nike sports bra variety. However, the Nike sports bras seem to either be too restrictive or too loose. Academy has most of the newest Nike bra styles, but the best place to find Nike clothing and accessories in the metro, seems to be Dick’s Sporting Goods. The good thing about most Nike sports bras, is most have built in cup support now. However, it’s easy to notice the material easily gets inverted and stretched pretty easily. It seems the bras with the most complicated and expensive materials are the bras that seem to not last as long.
Reebok has some effective sports bras, but it’s easy to notice how thin the straps are. Most women know, the thinner the strap, the less support. The most supportive Reebok bra, seems to be the Women’s Compression bra, which can be found at most Dick’s Sporting Goods stores.
However, from experience, it seems the best place in the metro to find cheap, comfortable, useful sports bras is Academy Sports and Outdoors. You can find most Champion bras on sale or under $20.00 with basic, yet functional material.
