London Fashion Week just finished wrapping up its latest set of shows.
Europe's first city to ring in Fashion Week featured a variation of local based designers and foreign designers who introduced their Fall 2014 collections.
Cornering the London standard, standout trends for the Fall 2014 include; Velvet (Burberry Prorsum, Tom Ford, Meadham Kirchhoff, Emilio de la Morena, Erdem) Black and White (Giles, KTZ, Fashion East, Pringle of Scotland) Worded Clothing (Fashion East, Tom Ford, Ashish, House of Holland) Animal Motifs (Emila Wickstead, Fashion East, Christopher Raeburn)
Topping off the best in show were KTZ who did a wonderful job showcasing the beauty of intricate detailing on a broad base of silhouettes. Antonio Berardi who poured colorful jewel tones into his collection, capped off by sexy clean lines and sultry shoes.
And Daks who procured top of the line British aesthetics with its towering fur hats, military inspired coats, and sophisticated lines. Other movers and shakers for the London runways included; David Koma, Burberry Prorsum, and Barbara Casaola.
From all accounts, London Fashion Week came and went quietly without the grand promotion and attention paid to New York Fashion Week, but it did not come without leaving its mark. London Fashion Week brought with it a large number of collections to revel and savor.
