Best-selling author Vince Flynn feels his dyslexia is a gift

Dyslexic people have a gift, according to Vince Flynn, best-selling author who struggled throughout school with dyslexia.

“Many dyslexic people end up being top sales reps, entrepreneurs, and even writers,” Flynn told Fox Business in the video below.

Flynn, known for authoring thrilling stories about crooked politicians and terrorism, says that his gift as a dyslexic writer is that he can create stories in his head.

In addition, he always knows how stories are going to turn out when he watches movies and television.

Flynn overcame the obstacles of his dyslexia

Despite his learning disability, Flynn managed to be a C student and Division III football player in college.

However, Flynn had many embarrassing moments in college due to being an inadequate reader, so at age 21, he became inspired and started reading.

“I fell in love with the very thing I hated,” he laughed.

Today, presidents and intelligence professionals around the world read Flynn’s best-selling books.

His most recent book, “Pursuit of Honor,” was published this year. Other novels include
Transfer of Power, The Third Option, Separation of Power, Executive Power, Memorial Day, Consent to Kill, Act of Treason, and Extreme Measures.

While this is a great story, it is an exceptional outcome. The dyslexics who are successful like Vince, Winston Churchhill, Jonathan Mooney etc are gifted speakers and obviously have high areas of strenth in language, oral or witten. MOST dylsexics also suffer from language delays both oral and written and will not have this type of outcome.

I spent my life as an undiagnosed dyslexic. I managed to graduate from high school with a C average. I am now a successful Attorney with more degree's than most of my educated friends. While I never managed to rise to the top my common sense took me there one step at a time.
