If you made a New Year’s resolution to improve your health in your latter years, or even if you haven’t, you won’t want to miss Jordan Rubin’s appearance in Denver February 2 and 3, 2011,
Rubin, a natural health expert and founder and CEO of Garden of Life, is the author of a New York Times best-seller, The Maker’s Diet, as well as many other health-related titles.
Throughout high school he was rarely ill but began to suffer periodic feelings of extreme exhaustion while working as a summer camp counselor in Florida. Rubin’s strict health upbringing left no rationale as to why he’d become suddenly afflicted. He had bouts of falling asleep on the bus, nausea, painful mouth sores, recurring diarrhea and stomach cramps, and lost 20 pounds in seven days. He feigned strength when he returned home in order to attend college, but dropped to 145 from his normal 180 while experiencing 104-degree fever nightly. After various medications and supplements, he finally dropped to 111 pounds.
Rubin’s book, The Maker’s Diet, chronicles the diseases that attacked him and his battle to overcome them. He knows first hand what it is to be desperate.
Today, he is a vibrant and healthy man. What worked for him? Find the answer in his book, The Maker’s Diet, or attend a live meeting at either Green Mountain Grocers,12612 W. Alameda Parkway, Lakewood, CO 80228 Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at 6:00 pm or Sunflower Farmers Market, 2880 South Colorado Boulevard, Denver, CO 80222 (303-758-4400), February 3, 2011 at 6:30 pm.
