Most families enjoy a nice, traditional home cooked meal for the holidays, but in Los Angeles, eating out is a part of daily routine. In such a social and networking-driven city, it would feel unusual to have restaurants closed during Christmas. So whether you are doing some last minute shopping on Christmas Eve and want to grab a cocktail and appetizers, or you are meeting that friend or relative you haven’t seen since last Christmas, here are the restaurants open for both Christmas Eve and Day. These select restaurants also have special menus for Christmas, according to the LA Times.
The Pikey has a Christmas Eve menu, which includes a nice Christmas twist on the traditional Thanksgiving meal: House-cured ham with white beans and salsa verde, smoked pigs in a blanket, roasted chestnuts with bacon, market cranberry sauce and minced pie with house-made ice cream. Let’s not forget the Christmas cocktails, which among some include hot-spiced cider with Busnel Calvados, apples, orange, lemon, caramel, star anise and cardamom. On Chrismas Day, the restaurant opens at 3 p.m. until 2 a.m and is located at 7617 W. Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles. For pictures and restaurant ratings, click here.
