Best resources for getting a legal career in Mississippi.

A lot of students look beyond their home town of Mississippi for their educational needs, but our state has a few options that may not only be more convenient but also less expensive.

One option is community college and Mississippi offers several different options for the student who wants to take the community college route. In my area one of the best choices is/was Pearl River Community College. PRCC has several different compasses in several locations the tuition is affordable and there are many options for young students. PRCC's Tuition was so affordable during my time there I was able to pay for my own associates degree tuition. So check it out., If your close to one of their many locations. PRCC also offers online classes for students who work or live out of State. PRCC offered weekend classes when I was a student there please check their website to see if they still offer this option.

Another one of my favorite colleges has been Tulane. Tulane has locations in Louisiana and Mississippi. I enjoyed taking classes through them for my graduates degree. Their tuition is also very affordable and the Mississippi Gulf coast campus is small but it makes it easier for students who need more help the teachers are always very helpful and professional. I enjoyed my time there. It is neat because while attending the Mississippi campus I was able to take classes there as well as classes from the Louisiana branch of the school. The tuition runs around 1800.00 a semester. They offer evening classes as well as online classes for out of state students as well as financial aid.

USM is also a great college, the classes are much larger and when I attended there they offered correspondence classes as well as online classes. I loved USM and enjoyed my time there.

Mississippi has many colleges who offer great classes at a reasonable rate check it out before you decide to go to college in a different state you will be surprised how cheap the tuition is compared to other states and schools. I have friends who went to college in other states and they ask me if I ever regret going to college here. I never have regretted it. It helped me love my state more, be able to work a full time job and accomplish my dream of one day becoming a lawyer. Why would I hate it? Let me mention I have also attended some schools that weren't in my state. A lot of times it made it difficult for me and at times I had issues because me and the faculty failed to understand each other.

One issue for me has been different states have different policies regarding exams and etc, trying to explain this to faculty can be extremely difficult and at times can cause conflict. Even if your only trying to inquire about a policy

So before applying to a school or college educate yourself on their policy/or policies, that way there are no surprises. Also you wont be like me arguing over something that doesn't exist in their college or handbook. lol! I wish all the best who are looking for a college or university.

Please check out the colleges and universities in your area.
