Best remedies for staying well during the Georgia chill

Along with Georgia's cold snowy weather;  winter colds, coughs and the flu may follow.

and the surrounding counties to purchase fresh or dried herbs and organic produce.

     Garlic for respiratory infections, colds and flu. Garlic has antiseptic, antibiotic,
expectorant, fungicide and antihistamine properties. Chop one garlic clove, add to one cup
of boiling water, let it simmer for 10 minutes, allow it to sit until cool enough to drink.
For children use soy milk or nut milk.

     Thyme, chamomile, cinnamon and ginger for coughs. Thymine has antibacterial, antifungal,
antiseptic and expectorant properties. Chamomile has antiseptic properties. Cinnamon has
antibacterial, antiseptic, antifungal and analgesic properties. Ginger improves absorption.
Chop thyme and chamomile. Grate cinnamon and ginger. Add to boiling water, strain, add
honey to the liquid, allow it to sit until cool enough to drink.

     Lemon for sore throats. Lemon has antiseptic and antifungal properties. Squeeze lemon juice
into lukewarm water then add honey. Honey has antifungal properties.

Eat an apple a day.
