Best-preserved baby mammoth coming to Field Museum

“Lyuba,” the best-preserved baby mammoth in the world is coming to the Field Museum.

Mammoths and Mastodons: Titans of the Ice Age is a temporary exhibit that opens March 5th and runs through September 6th.

Visitors will be able to journey back to the Ice Age through video installations, roaming among saber-toothed cats and giant bears, and viewing some of the oldest artifacts in existence.

Interactive displays will reveal the difference between a mammoth and a mastodon, offer a theory on what may have caused their extinction and show how today’s scientists excavate, analyze and learn more about these incredible creatures.
