The Real Madrid v AS Roma match-up for the Guinness International Champions Cup is going to be a summer highlight for many. However, it is crucial to partake in some pre-game events to get nice and warmed up before hitting the main stage. In Dallas, there is much to do before such an event so here is a list of a few activities one can tackle before attending the Real Madrid v AS Roma game on July 29.

Bars and Pubs
It’s always nice to have a drink with a bite to eat before attending a sporting event, especially if you’re not planning on tailgating. In Dallas, there are plenty of bars and pubs to visit for hefty drinks with a delicious bite. Some great pre-game spots include the Trinity Hall Irish Pub, The Londoner, Christies Sports Bar and Anvil Pub. These are just a few of many great bars scattered throughout Dallas that make for good pre-game stops, and Idle Rich, Capitol Pub, Churchills and the Fillmore Pub are all official fan hubs of the event as well.

If looking for a relaxing atmosphere before the mayhem at the Cotton Bowl Stadium on July 29, it would serve you well to visit the Café Madrid in Dallas, especially if you are a Real Madrid fan. This café specializes in Spanish cuisine and has been well received by the Dallas community. As for Italian fans that are supporting AS Roma, the choices are more plentiful. There are plenty of Italian restaurants to choose from in Dallas such as Sal’s Pizza and Restaurant, Campisi’s, Bugatti Ristorante and many more. You’ll get even more in the spirit if you treat yourself to a good taste of either culture before attending the soccer match.

Another great pre-game activity is to simply get to know Dallas better. The city has plenty of attractions that would serve as perfect warm-ups before the main event. One could go to the Sixth Floor Museum to become immersed in art or check out the Dallas World Aquarium. Other activities include Adventure Landing for miniature golfing or hitting the go karts, the Irving Arts Center for a relaxing browse of sculptures and art, Zero Gravity Thrill Amusement Park for getting the adrenaline pumping or the House of Blues for some delicious food and top-of-the-line music.

Many things can be done in Dallas before attending the Real Madrid v AS Roma game. Just make sure you don’t tire yourself out. Most of your energy should be saved for the big match!
