Hey, Portland, there’s going to be a Pass It On Sale in April!
Passitonsales.com is a website owned by two women who found a great way to recycle children’s wear, maternity clothes, books and toys, and furniture. There’s one in Portland and one in Hillsboro and they each have two sales a year; one in fall and one in spring. It’s almost time for the spring sales.
PassItOn is a place where both buyers and sellers can meet. Anyone who has an excess of items in good shape can sign up and sell their items at the sale. Items are gently used, in good shape and worth the reduced prices. The people who sell there have so much good to say about the project and the testimonials on the site show that it’s not only profitable, but easy to do.
Maternity clothes are expensive and only worn a few months. Getting cute, trendy clothing at rummage sale prices is just what many pregnant women need, and some of the maternity clothes at the sale are new or have never been worn.
Our babies and kids grow fast and change in size and shape so quickly, and most items are only used for a few months. These sale items all have lots of life left in them and many are still new with tags. It’s a fantastic way to clean out your surplus and buy more at great prices. You get more money per item than you would at a garage sale, ebay or a flea market!
Twice a year, clean out your kids' closets and garages and make money from the items without having to stand at your garage all weekend. This is good for women who have low or no incomes to get all they need for themselves and their kids. Not just babies, but all sizes of kids. Get ‘new’ books for them, ‘new’ toys and changing tables, a good crib or a cheap Johnny Jump-up.
In this economy, it’s not only important to watch every dollar you have, but it’s also important to help each other get by. This is exactly the kind of project to do this. Everyone wins. So how about it, Portland? Got any gently used or new child-related items you can sell at PassItOn in April? It’s the 16th through the 18th, so call ahead.
