Best places to watch 4th of July fireworks in Dallas-Fort Worth

July Fourth is right around the corner, do you have any plans? You can find a comprehensive listing of all the fireworks displays going on around DFW here.

However, maybe cramming in with a few thousand folks isn't exactly up your alley. How about cramming in with a few hundred or less instead, and enjoying some libations while you watch? Here are several awesome places where you can watch while you drink and eat. But don't procrastinate, some of these spots need to be reserved ASAP.

July 3, 2014

Kaboom Town may be already sold out, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy it from any of the bars and restaurants located nearby. Here a few that might wet your whistle:

Cantino Laredo
4546 Belt Line Rd

Enjoy margaritas, Mexican food and fireworks from the patio.

Addison Point
4578 Belt Line Rd

The parking lot party here is suppose to be the best place to watch the Addison Air Show and Kaboom Town Fireworks, plus there's food, booze and live music.

The Quarter Bar & Grill
15201 Addison Road

The quarter puts on a huge fireworks watching party in the fenced in lawn area and will be serving a limited menu. Make a table reservation ASAP, or it's first come, first served and good luck finding a seat (or parking).

Gaylord Texan Resort
1501 Gaylord Trail

Here you have two great choices to view Grapevine's fireworks from here, which happen every Friday night through Labor Day:

1. From the rooftop of the resort's parking garage (of course you'll have to provide your own food and drinks)

2. On the Glass Cactus Patio (you can also dance to Le Freak in the disco afterwards)

Rockledge Park
110 Fairway Dr

Bring a picnic and enjoy the show for a $10 per vehicle charge on July 4th.

Bar Belmont
901 Fort Worth Ave

Go early and stake out a seat on the patio where you can see displays from Fair Park to Lakewood and even other fireworks displays in cities north of Big D.

560 Five Sixty by Wolfgang Puck

Probably the most awesome place to see fireworks across DFW is at the top of Reunion Tower. If you can't nab a table in the restaurant, try staking a spot in the bar.

GeO-Deck at Reunion

You can also celebrate Independence Day at the new GeO-Deck where there will be face painters and balloon artists. The Cloud Nine Café will be open until 10 p.m. Friday serving special themed drinks and treats.

NYLO Dallas South Side
1325 S Lamar St

Enjoy cocktails by the pool on the rooftop deck and check out the fireworks over the Dallas skyline.

NYLO Irving/Las Colinas
1001 W Royal Ln

Hang out here and watch Irving's firework show over Lake Carolyn.

Dallas Country Club Fireworks
July 4th, 2014

Arrive around 7:30 at the latest, and plant yourself along Lakeside as close to Beverly as you can get for the best seats in the house. Bring along plenty of food and booze to keep you satiated while you wait.

Lakewood Country Club Firework Show

Whole Foods Lakewood
2118 Abrams Road

Pull up a seat on the patio here, grab some grub from inside, and catch the Lakewood Country Club's firework show. Be sure to arrive early, this is a popular viewing place.

Balcony Club
1825 Abrams Rd

You won't see much from the inside of this fun jazz bar, but you will from the balcony—plus you can imbibe while you watch.

Rockwall Fireworks Show at Harry Myers Park
July 4, 2014

Sail with Scott
$25-$30 at 9 p.m.

Take either a Seawolf catamaran or Harbor Lights cruise for a stunning front seat view from the lake. There are still spots left for the 4th.

Dodies Cajun Diner
2067 Summer Lee Dr, Ste 115

Great view from the restaurant's patio on Lake Ray Hubbard at the Harbor.

KE Cellars Winery
301 N San Jacinto St

Located on the square, the winery will be having a fireworks viewing party with live music and BBQ (served at 6 until 7:30) Pack your lawn chairs in case there's not enough seating.

Fort Worth Fireworks at Panther Island Pavilion
July 4, 2014

Panther Island
395 Purcey Street

Panther Island is the "it" place to be for fireworks and just about anytime. Live music, food trucks, tubing and plenty of activities makes it worth sticking around here for the Fourth.

Coyote Drive-In
223 NE 4th St

There's also a great bash going on at the Coyote Drive-In next door to Panther Island, featuring live music, a double feature flick and a great view of the fireworks. Oh, and there's also stellar munchies and booze here too.
