Best place in Hartford for Valentine's Day lingerie

To add to my previous two articles about Valentine's Day, I thought I'd write about something that is missing in the series--a guide to lingerie shopping.  Who could forget this important piece of clothing on a holiday that focuses mainly on romantic love?  If you're looking for something special and one of a kind, look no further than a local shop in West Hartford.

Contessa Corset Shop located on 66 Lasalle Road, may be a bit pricier than Victoria's Secret, but it is sure to give you that personal one of a kind shopping experience when you walk through the door.  Brimming with pastel colors and lace undergarments, this little shop offers silky slips and sexy corsets at modest and expensive prices.  From cream to lime green to black, the store has any color you could imagine in underthings.   The store is small, too, and has the style like that of an old fashioned French boutique.

If you prefer more of a mainstream feel, Victoria's Secret at Westfarms Mall is always an option, but the experience and attention you get at a small place cannot be matched.  So, make an afternoon of it, bring a girlfriend who's looking to surprise her significant other, too, and visit Contessa.  You won't be disappointed.  This charming little store will surely deliver, and if you don't walk out with anything, at least, you can feel like you took a little trip to Paris.  Have fun shopping!
