Best Of SXSW: social media meets art at #FEED powered by Twitter (Photos)

One of the hottest events at SXSWi 2013 was a five days and nights experience, #FEED powered by Twitter, merging social media, art, parties, and technology. (Check out the video below).

Some of the world's leading interactive artists, but also DJs, entrepreneurs, and technology experts gathered at AMOA-Arthouse in Austin, for day time sessions and parties (@NIGHT).
The event, produced by Twitter and Learned Evolution, a cutting-edge digital agency based in Brooklyn, organized a revolutionary event to push the boundaries of digital storytelling. #FEED manifested offline the SXSW experience happening on social media, to engage people in a new and interactive way and bring the SXSW story to life.

Examiner.com caught up with #FEED Creative Director Justin Bolognino. His unique vision on social media and digital storytelling makes him one of the world's leading brand strategist, and he shares in the interview below some exclusive tips and advice.
Find out how the #FEED experience came to life in the video, and how to better use social media for your brand and reach a new level of interaction with your audience.

Key takeaways

#FEED showcased unique interactive digital installations, such as Super Uber's Social Snap. The installation used projection mapping to pull in Instagram pictures displayed in real time on an hexagonal relief structure on the wall, creating a large visual collage of photos taken at SXSWi.

Another fan favorite was Social Print Studio’s Instagram visualizer, which showcased all the photos taken from a specific hashtag or geotag, using Microsoft Kinect. By moving your body around the installation you could see the effect on the photos displayed, and physically take part in the experience, then print your own photos instantly.

If you want to learn more about revolutionizing digital storytelling: I asked Justin Bolognino to break it down for us, and according to him the key is simplicity and consistency. In a nutshell: Keep a unified voice consistent across all platforms, create engaging content consistently, and immediately adopt each new technology and each social media channel.
