As spring comes to an end, wedding season wraps up leaving us with bitter sweet memories and a whole lot of fashion and makeup trends to absorb. 1. Apple Blossoms

Apple blossoms may have come late this season, but wedding everywhere still took advantage of the natural beauty these blooms have to offer. Many brides feature the blooms as decorations for their hair. Also, we used the beautiful cherry blossom hues of soft pinks and browns for makeup palettes on many brides this year. The fleeting beauty of cherry blossoms just are the perfect style for spring weddings, so we see this beauty theme pop up every year!

2. Hair Half Down

When brides can’t decide whether to have their hair up or down during the ceremony, they might as well get the best of both worlds with a hair-half-down style. This allows the bride to have the best of both worlds with the flairs of an up-do and the flourishes of a down-do. There are a wide variety of options for hair half-down styles, so see the slideshow for some of the options.

3. Natural Makeup

Many spring brides this year chose to go with natural makeup that highlighted their best features, and the results were just astoundingly fabulous! Since wedding are all about celebrating the bride and their love, it is important that brides allow their true beauty to shine through. This means not putting on too much makeup, soft hues and lots of confidence from the beautiful brides.

4. More Florals!

The apple blossoms weren’t enough to satiate the fashion world’s appetite for florals! This fashion season it seems like florals are everywhere, and the spring weddings made no exception to this rule. We put floral in the hair, décor, photographs and just anywhere we could squeeze them in! Why not? Who doesn’t love florals?

5. Love!

As usual, love never goes out of style. This spring wedding season love was definitely in the air! There is no such thing as too much love, and the love birds of this spring did well at flaunting their love of one another.

Spring wedding season may be over, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t many summertime wedding beauty trends to look forward to this 2014. Stay tuned to this blog for details on upcoming summer wedding trends from a beauty artist who does bridal hair in DC.
