Best of Spring 2014: Fashion meets Real Estate, August Silk and Post-it's!

Invitation to the SCENE and Town event
Invitation from Zarah Burstein of Observer Media

Spring in New York is a beautiful thing! Not only for the warmer weather, but it is also the season just before summer when there are countless events taking place it is sometimes difficult to decide which ones to attend with so many going on this time of year.

A big trend on the horizon, is the partnership between fashion and real estate. Both industries attract glamorous, hard-working individuals, so it only makes sense the two have become the best of friends.

Last night, TOWN (one of New York's quickest growing, notable real estate firms) collaborated with Scene Magazine and the Observer to host a stylish event on the Upper West Side to promote the limited edition, full floor residences at 732 West End Avenue. Most of these events are extremely popular. They bring out a huge crowd and hire attractive, friendly wait staff as well as bar staff along with a respectable d.j. to lively up the party-goers with the possibility of potentially close some big deals.

The evening before, SCENE also partnered with Stonehenge for a Speakeasy at 1080 Amsterdam Avenue, across the street from St. John the Divine.

A pre-prohibition style trio performed near the elevator as guests checked in. Upstairs, fresh, sustainably obtained oysters were being shucked while each apartment featured a unique view and the model apartments made conversation easy and enjoyable. In addition to real estate boom on the Upper West side of Manhattan, downtown in Chelsea, Glass Houses at 545 West 25th Street, is the hot space for events and the big PR firms are hosting some incredible events here because of the floor to ceiling windows as well as the spectacular views of the Hudson River.

The annual Post-it's party was held at Glass Houses last month and during the same week a Bridal and Evening gown collection for Galia Lahav also took place!

Post-it's has been as important in the work force today as the morning cup of coffee. Post-it's keeps coming up with innovative designs and cute patterns to keep New Yorkers organized and looking cool during the hectic pace of daily life. Please visit: http://www.postits.com to view the newest in the post-it's brand.

The Galia Lahav Bridal and Evening gown presentation was flawless and stunning. Clean designs, intricate detailing and a lovely array of color palates were on display. To view the entire collection, please visit: http://www.galialahav.com.

Two other noteworthy events: Grand Cercle Des Vins De Bordeaux's from Barrel to Bottle at STK and the August Silk Editor preview also took place recently.

Grand Cercle's wine tasting event at STK midtown was probably one of the most well-attended, late afternoon events with samplings from the Bordeaux region. Please visit: http://www.grandcercle.fr to learn more about the distributors.

The August Silk brand has started to create dresses, blouses, sweaters and tops that are machine washable. With new and unique prints, August Silk makes transitioning from day to evening a breeze.
