The Dunwoody MARTA station may not be in the hustle and bustle of city life, but it is in the middle of the Perimeter shopping and office districts just outside of I-285. Whether you're heading to the station for business or pleasure, here are some of the highlights.

Perimeter Mall
The main attraction at the station is Perimeter Mall, which is basically a stone's throw away. Anchor stores include Macy’s, Dillard’s and Nordstrom, and there's a large food court and several restaurants around mall on the end opposite the MARTA station.

Marriott Perimeter Center / Hertz Car Rental
The closest hotel to the Perimeter Center is the Marriott Perimeter Center Parkway. Walking time is less than 10 minutes, but the hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle to and from the station -- great perk! Plus, you can also rent a car here via Hertz.

Perimeter Shuttles
Speaking of shuttles, several free ones connect to the MARTA station and travel to area office parks on a regular basis. See the list here with contact information.

Chequer's Seafood and Steak
Across from the station you'll also find fine dining at Chequer's Seafood and Steak -- the closest restaurant to the station. After exiting the fare gates at the station, walk straight ahead to the parking deck stairway or elevator and go down to street level. Follow the sidewalk to Hammond Drive and cross over the street to reach the restaurant.

Cheesecake Factory
A mall restaurant favorite, the Cheesecake Factory has a never-ending menu of food and desserts. The perimeter location is attached to the mall facing Ashford Dunwoody Road, which is a straight walk through the mall from the MARTA station.

Apple Store
Apple lovers rejoice. An Apple Store is located inside Perimeter Mall, just a hop, skip and jump from the train.

Best Buy
For your other gadget needs, the Best Buy next to Perimeter Mall is the closest one to a rail station -- just across the street. Take the parking garage exit to street level and cross over Hammond Drive.
