Over across the pond the runways have cleared out and the best of London Fashion Week S/S14 has been instated. Among the top collections given credence to the best of the Brits; Peter Pilotto who captures the essence of Spring with the profound use of invigorating colors complimented by crafty silhouettes. Christopher Kane and the gorgeous line of fabrics centered on unique yet impressive cuts. Mulberry and their return to simplicity with a chic, retro twist, Burberry Prorsum who followed the in the same accord as Mulberry--return to simplicity elevated by chic constructions and veritable spring colors. And Matthew Williamson with attention grabbing pieces flooded with stunning prints with an ultra feminine overlay.
Trends for the London S/S14 runways include the heavy use of the monochromatic black and white, there was a lot of black and white with some collections strictly using black and white. Bold prints--mainly floral and vivid water colors were also top trends for the S/S14.
