Waters of the Mediterranean Sea sparkling in the sunlight; pretty fields of lavender, resplendent with fresh blossoms; picturesque old villages filled with dignified stone cottages—this is Provence. And this is Cote Soleil. Emanating from every inch of this chic emporium, the sensational mélange of French countryside and elegant French taste that is Provence defines this lovely home décor shop in Acworth.
Nondescript façade aside, Cote Soleil is a vicarious excursion to France, replete with one-of-a-kind pieces having certain savoir-faire. Seamlessly combining Old World antiques and modern imports, for French sophistication, this shop is decidedly welcoming.
A leaded glass mirror rests atop an antique, farmhouse sideboard along with simple clay jugs—captivating in their simplicity. Meanwhile, a round black table with peacock themed articles—yes, peacocks!—elicits a smile.
From the pretty, aqua-colored stoneware to the cheerful herbal-themed wall hangings to the lavish soaps and lotions scented with fruit and flowers, Cote Soleil is a sensory delight. But your eyes will receive the greatest treat.
A Baker’s rack filled with colorfully painted Provencal pottery stands beside whimsical wall décor with a farm motif. Adding to this vignette are a French cookbook and other lively kitchen accoutrement.
Nearby, a collection of several clocks—a large, painted one; another, medium-size and made of wood; and one of delicate design in black iron—keep perfect, modern time. Meanwhile, beautifully made chairs are the resting places for pretty, decorative pillows with French sayings, nicely framed art and a lovely, black urn with hand-painted embellishments.
With intricate, beguiling designs, the wonderfully carved mantles support beautiful decorative items: tall wooden candlesticks, antique picture frames, and votive holders of wood and metal, to name a few.
Cote Soleil, located at 3335 North Cobb Parkway (Suite 210), is a delightful French oasis. And owners Tracy and Patrick Guyon de Chemilly offer such warm and gracious hospitality that, like so many others, you’ll likely become a customer for years to come.
The final destination on this tour of home décor shops is in Marietta.
