When the weather makes it impossible to spend time outside as a family, head indoors to one of the Orlando area’s bowling alleys and family entertainment centers. It does not matter if you are a resident of the area or just visiting while on vacation, these centers offer everything from bowling to food and arcade games to entertainment. Most bowling alleys in the area also offers leagues and birthday party planning services.

Aloma Bowling Centers

There are three Aloma Bowling Centers in the Central Florida area -- Airport Lanes in Sanford, Boardwalk Bowl Entertainment Centers in Orlando and Aloma Bowling Center in Winter Park. All three locations offer leagues, group bowling, birthday parties and lots of entertainment. Airport Lanes has 32 bowling lands and a grille restaurant. Boardwalk Bowl Entertainment Center has a miniature gold course, a bar, a grille and 80 bowling lanes. Aloma Bowling Center has a lounge, grille restaurant, an arcade and 32 bowling lanes.

Colonial Lanes

Colonial Lanes is locally owned and operated, offering friendly and personal service. This facility offers 32 lanes for bowling, a pro shop, lounge, pool tables and a game room. Bowlers can enjoy a family outing, have a birthday party, join a league or participate in a tournament sponsored by the bowling alley.

Colonial Lanes is open Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. until midnight; Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. until midnight; Fridays from 11 a.m. until 1 a.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 1 a.m.

Firkin and Kegler Family Entertainment Center

Voted the “Best Overall” by the Bowler’s Journal International 24th Architecture and Design Awards competitions, the Firkin and Kegler Family Entertainment Center offers something for everyone in the family. The center has 32 lanes, each equipped with kid bumpers to help prevent gutter balls. Large screen televisions line the wall over the end of the lanes and continually show sports, bowling scores and news. The center also features an arcade and pub, offering special events, kids activities, leagues, group event planning and birthday parties.

Firkin and Kegler Family Entertainment Center is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. until 2 a.m.

Splitsville Orlando

Experience bowling like you have never done before…Disney style. Located in Downtown Disney Westside this bowling alley offers family a chance to take a break from their busy day at the theme parks to enjoy a few games of bowling while dining. With more than 500,000 square feet, this two-story bowling features 30-retro themed lanes, first-class food, live music and dancing, billiard tables and a merchandise shop.

Splitsville Orlando opens Monday through Friday at 10:30 a.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays at 10 a.m.
