Spring is in the air and as long as the wind isn't blowing, the weather is perfect for an adventure in Las Vegas. The outskirts offer natural adventures and the city is full of fantastic ways to spend a spring day. Shopping is a great way to spend a day in Las Vegas, and the weather makes it perfect for the several outdoor shopping venues Vegas has to offer.
Las Vegas is a well-established shopping destination and is home to several outdoor shopping destinations. The best include Town Square centrally located on the south Strip, The District next to Green Valley Ranch, Tivoli Gardens on the west side of town and the Las Vegas Premium Outlet Mall.
Town Square and The District offer the most diversity of entertainment and restaurant options. Town Square has an incredible movie theater and has several family oriented events throughout the week. Check out www.mytownsquarelasvegas.com for a schedule of their special events and movie listing. The District is located next to the Green Valley Ranch so it is perfect for the out-of-towners who will also need a hotel and casino to jaunt to after shopping. Green Valley Ranch also has family activities, wine walks and entertainment scheduled. For more information visit www. shopthedistrictgvr.com. Both offer exterior shopping corridors, with interior shopping. The mall exteriors are dog friendly and both have at least two patio dining options.
Tivoli Village is the newest outdoor mall to open in Las Vegas and if you find yourself on the west side of Las Vegas, maybe going to or from Red Rock or the Springs Preserve, this is a great stop. Tivoli Village is a small, Italian version of The District and Town Square in terms of architecture and offers similar patio dining options, shopping and dog friendly landscaping. A few events are held here on weekends including art walks, wine walks and a farmers' market. Look at www.tivolivillagelv.com for a listing of events and shops.
If you would like some high fashion deals with your spring fling, go to the Premium Outlet mall just off of the I-15, on the west side of Downtown Las Vegas. this is the place for serious shopping, and sushi. The shopping comes with the stores outlet prices and the sushi is from the newest location of Makino's. Makino's is one of Las Vegas locals favorite sushi buffet. Known for being clean and well stocked with fresh sushi, its sister location in Spring Valley is a hot spot for local Asian families, so you know it's good.
