Best iPad, iPhone apps worth downloading this weekend (Photos)

According to a Feb. 22 report in “All App News”, Nickelodeon had just released “Nick”. This app is packed with the best content found on its TV network for children (as well as the child in all of us). There are loads of original content like videos, animated shows and complete Nick episodes (to see the full episodes, an account with Cablevision or other TV provider is necessary). Plus, there are games, fun surveys and you'll see tweets and photos sent in by popular Nick celebrities. Free.

The blockbuster “Plants vs. Zombies” is free today for the first time since it first hit the App Store. Normally, this App of the Week sells for $2.99 for the iPhone version and $6.99 for the iPad version. In this game you must defend your house from hordes of invading zombies. How? By seeding your lawn with 49 different zombie zapping, eating plants! There are a limited number of seeds and plants so you have to use the right plants at the right time. You also have to grow the plants, so weather matters. There are 50 levels and 22 mini games for lots of challenging adventures. Free for a limited time. Loads of fun for this weekend.

They're back! Yup, Percy and Francis are back in the sequel to “Gun Bros” that was just released today in the App Store. Here in “Gun Bros 2” they must one again defend the galaxy against the T.O.O.L. Insurgency. But this time they have loads of new weapons, including lasers and rocket launches. This game has 3 modes: Campaign, Arcade and Endless. In Endless mode you can team up with your friends in this Game Center shooter.
