Halloween is in a few days and many moms are scrambling for decorations and last minute costumes. With little kids in the house, you can't help but appreciate Halloween decorations that are not scary but still get the message across. This garlic wreath is great because it will keep the vampires far away from your door on Halloween eve and is made from a natural product.
You can buy them at craft stores and William and Sonoma but it is also very easy to make yourself. If you purchase a wreath base with nothing on it from a craft store you can buy a bulk bag of garlic from your local grocery store and get to work. You can pin them with wooden skewers or tie them with string, even glue would work here. Attach them to your base, add a hanging string and a removable hook to your door and you have a wreath. The ones that look the best have more than one row of garlic bulbs going around.
Have fun with it and if you are having trouble getting the garlic smell off your hands when you are through try washing with lemon juice. Happy Halloween!
