Another year of football has just about come and gone. But there is still one last week to self-indulge in buffalo wings and beer, without feeling that post season guilt of overindulging with no games on as an excuse. So let's take advantage of this final day of football in the most gluttonous way possible!
Recently I have been scouting out some of my favorite places to both watch football, and eat wings. While some places have great wings, they are lacking in the television department. Other bars thrive with great set ups, but the wings are all but forgettable.
Here are my two recommendations for getting the best of both worlds:
Tonic - With locations in Time's Square and Third Avenue, this massive establishment is filled with multi level dining, various bars, and enough television sets to entertain an army. The wings here are delicious, crispy, and everything one would expect on game day. With dozens of beers on tap, and plenty of excitement on any football day, this is a great spot for Super Bowl Sunday.
Sutton Place - Located on 2nd Avenue on 52nd Street in the heart of midtown, this is an ideal spot to catch the action. Filled with young professionals on a nightly basis, the ambiance and great atmosphere of this midtown landmark have marked this location as one of midtown's most thriving bars for years. There are three floors to watch the game on, including a beautiful rooftop for those brave enough to venture out into the cold. As if the various beers, scenery, and beautiful people are not enough, the wings will have even the pickiest of eaters foaming at the mouth. Sutton Place is a great destination that will satisfy sports and wing enthusiasts alike.
