The 85th Annual Academy Awards, held Feb. 24 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, brought all the stars out to play this weekend! With all the celebrities headed to their seats, and with a full winner's list still hours away, this seems like the perfect time to put together our best dressed Oscars 2013 list. Find it here below!
Presenter Reese Witherspoon looked amazing on the red carpet in a brilliant cobalt blue Louis Vuitton gown. In a red carpet interview Sunday, Reese shared that her 13-year-old daughter helped pick out the dress; pretty good taste for a teenager!
The Louis gown also featured black detailing, and the gown gave off a definite old-Hollywood vibe. Reese topped off her look with Louis Vuitton jewels. Her golden curls were the perfectly-styled icing on the couture cake, easily earning her best hair of the evening and very possibly best dressed at the Oscars 2013 overall.
Hot on her heels to win best dressed on this year's Academy Awards red carpet, "Zero Dark Thirty" star Jessica Chastain practically resembled an Oscar statuette in the skin-tight, shimmering gold Armani gown she chose for Hollywood's biggest night. Harry Winston jewels completed her look.
Catherine Zeta-Jones also rocked gold on the 2013 Oscars red carpet Sunday, and we think she was definitely one of the best-dressed ladies there. We liked that her Zuhair Murad Gallon had straps, and an attractive neckline. Strapless gowns and straight-across or high necklines seemed to be a trend on the Oscars red carpet this year, and this dress departed from that in a classically feminine way, offering a semi-plunging neckline that accentuated Catherine's curves while still keeping it classy.
However, it may have been Naomi Watts who gave Reese Witherspoon the biggest run for her red carpet money. Her one-shoulder, artsy Armani design was breathtaking. Now for the men! Always-handsome "Silver Linings Playbook" star Bradley Cooper looked dashing in his tux; he called the experience of attending his first Oscars "surreal".
Academy Awards performer Daniel Radcliffe also looked great in his well-tailored, slim-fitted tux. Oscars host Seth MacFarlane also wore his tuxedo well, though even from his seat, Jack Nicholson may have stolen the show with his red glasses and bowtie. These guys definitely deserve honorable mention on our best dressed Oscars 2013 list, male edition!
