Last night the Oscar's red carpet was red hot. Hollywood's finest looked magnificence. This is probably the best-dressed Academy Awards in a long time. There weren't many misses, besides Liza Minnelli's teenage blue hair and Kerry Washington wearing an Egyptian cotton sheet, most actors stepped up their wardrobe game.
The actual show wasn't bad either. In past years the show has sometimes been dry, annoyingly long and down right boring. Ellen's hosting was funny, quick, and kept the show moving swiftly. With great performances from legendary Bette Midler and a very 'happy' performance from Pharrell (and his hat) made the show extremely stimulating, young and energetic.
The trend on the red carpet was sophisticated, nuovo Hollywood glam with a touch of spunk. Starlets weren't afraid of wearing color and the guys weren't afraid of accessorizing. Michael B Jordan kept a pair of plain black shoes fresh with a cool silver buckle, while Lupita Nyong'o mastered wearing baby blue without looking like a baby's blanket.
