In 2010, after the airing of TLC's Extreme Couponing series, many families were thrown into what can only be described as a couponing frenzy. Soon enough, our mothers' tried and true techniques for saving money on groceries became none other than pop culture. For a short time many of us were dreaming in a coupon-induced daze, of vacations, apocalyptic-ready stock-piles, and building essential storage space to house our fifteen million deodorant sticks and tampons. I dare say, some of us were stocked well beyond menopause. Through TLC and their spotlighted families, not only did we peer into the lives of moms and dads who practically live off coupons, we learned. Soon we were standing in line with our coupon binders wishing a video camera would suddenly appear on-site to record our success. A sad few of us fell victim to coupon addiction and the fine line between a real deal and a pointless buy disappeared. Some of us were probably almost committed by our families (...not without my binder, you don't!).
So here in 2013 many of us parents still have our beloved couponing addiction. We still pick up our Sunday papers with just a mild sting of anticipation. And some of us have replaced our bulky binders with envelopes and lists (Guilty as charged!). I am also happy to report some of us are no longer raiding our neighbor's trash. Frugalfritzie: This one is great for Wichita parents. This site has a Dillon's section with coupon match-ups, as well as a comparative Aldi's price after match-up. I love this one.
Ebates.com: While this isn't exactly a coupon site, it is a great option for parents who like to shop online. Whether you are buying shoes, books, clothes, computers, other electronic equipment, jewelry, you name it, Ebates.com has a plethora of some of our favorite stores that offer a percentage cash-back for your purchases.
