L.A.-based indie duo Best Coast will be hitting the recording studio later this month to record a new EP. Singer Bethany Cosentino posted a brief video on Thursday announcing the news.
“I making this nerdy video because I want to be the first to tell you that Bobb [Bruno] and I are going to be heading back into the studio, starting Feb. 11, to record a brand new EP,” Cosentino said in the clip.
She further mentions that Best Coast will be recording the EP in L.A. with “Wally,” which some might assume might be rapper Wale, but only time will tell. Aside from those quick details, the new project is just in its beginning stages so there will probably be more information coming later down the line.
The EP will follow Best Coast's second album, “The Only Place,” which was released last year. The album featured “Do You Love Me Like You Used To,” a tune featured on Examiner.com's top songs of 2012. Aside from the EP, Bruno and Cosentino will be releasing a 7-inch single on Record Store Day, April 20.
