Looking for someplace place to take your horse for a trail ride? Want to make it a horse camping trip? Here's three places for your to consider this spring.

New Hope Stables, in Statesville, North Carolina just north of Charlotte near the I-40/I-77 interchange is minutes from the well-known Love Valley area via horseback. They offer camping with full water and hookups, clean bathrooms, 12x12 stalls, and paddock turnout.

Latta Plantation, in Huntersville, North Carolina, offers 16 miles of trails. No horse? No problem. Horses are available for guided trail rides for those 12 years or older and those under 12 can ride in the arena. The large equestrian facility plays home to many shows and other equestrian events.

Willing to go a littler further afield? Try 4B Farm in Troy, North Carolina in the Uwharrie National Forest with abundant horse trails. Over 50 improved campsites are available along with several primative ones, 43 stalls, 34 corralls and 2 pound pens. A heated bath house is a definite plus for cool spring mornings.
