If you want to work as a marketing executive for Best Buy, don't bother applying unless you have 250 Twitter followers and have been blogging for a year.
Best Buy needs a Senior Manager - Emerging Media Marketing, so they added those two requirements. I guess they don't know about Facebook, or don't care.
The opening is posted on their website.
According to the advertisement, the chosen candidate would be
"the primary lead for the Best Buy's mobile, social, and video marketing & media efforts to drive in-store and online sales, create sustainable word of mouth evangelists, and brand loyalists".

Well that won't be much of an impediment, given all the auto/mass follow tools out there.
I also see that the position already has been filled, so I guess everyone who isn't tweeting or blogging can go back to whatever it was they were doing before.
Do they also have to wear ugly little white shirts with black ties and drive around in black and white geek squad vw beetles bugs?
250 followers?? most kids today should have more that, let alone an experienced marketer?
Come on Best Buy step up the anti.
