Best Buy stores around the country are beginning a program to trade in used games. Look out, Game Stop, you've got some heavyweight competition. The electronics giant announced today that 600 of its stores in the U.S. are beginning the program with many more to follow suit.
Best Buy's trade in works like this: you sell back your used game and they give you a gift card good for anything in the store, not just gaming related stuff. They are also saying they plan on offering used games for sale at some point in the future, presumably when they've built up some back stock of games.
This weekend, Best Buy is also offering a $20 gift card to anyone who trades in one of a select number of games. A list of stores that are currently participating in the program can be found here.
If your Best Buy store isn't on that list, visit them and ask about the program. All of the Best Buy stores around Anoka County can be found on their website or in this list.
