The Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday 2013 sales days were great for Best Buy, Amazon, and Walmart, and the retailers are continuing their push to stay on top of the pack with their huge Cyber Week sales, which will fade into Green Monday sales next week. According to a Dec. 2 Barron's report, Best Buy was one of the biggest winners over the holiday shopping weekend while Amazon was among the online shopping winners in the plus billion dollar shopping days.
The great news for you as a shopper as well as for these retailers is that Green Monday is actually traditionally the biggest shopping day online. Of course, you may not know what Green Monday is since it's a rather new term. It is the second Monday in December, and typically retailers see the most orders on these days, which means they are looking to cash in on this natural online shopping tendency, so of course they will offer sales.
Hoping to continue its strong trend, Best Buy is offering Cyberbusters this week as part of its Cyber Week sales event. Today's Deal of the Day at Best Buy includes the HP Laptop Essentials Package with a savings of nearly $100. Other great deals at Best Buy include a Logitech wireless mouse, Dragon software, a backpack laptop case, and an LG DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive.
Meanwhile, Amazon's Deal of the Day is 50 percent off of select Melissa and Doug toys. If you have children on your holiday shopping list, today is a great day to pick up some of these toys. They are durable and cute. Plus, the Melissa and Doug brand is a great, long lasting brand of toys that are both fun to play with and educational.
Finally, check out Walmart's Cyber Week deals with new specials added each day this week. Today you can pick up the Fisher-Price Jake and the Neverland Pirates Jake's Musical Pirate Ship Bucky for just $30 or a 20-inch BMX kid's bike for $49.
